Virginia Ferris holds an MSLS from UNC-Chapel Hill (2014), MA in Irish and Irish-American Studies from NYU (2010), and BA in Anthropology from Barnard College (2006). She is a former NCSU Libraries Fellow (2014-2016) and is currently Outreach and Engagement Program Librarian for Special Collections at NCSU Libraries. Ferris' work focuses on innovative outreach and collection development methods to document and promote university history, with previous experience in oral history, exhibit curation, archival processing, and community engagement at New York University's Glucksman Ireland House, the Lower East Side Tenement Museum, and the Southern Historical Collection at UNC-Chapel Hill.
