Mei Johnson

Mei Johnson is a PhD Candidate in Disaster Science and Management in the School of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Delaware, and a Graduate Research Assistantat the Disaster Research Center (DRC). Johnson works with Pat Young, DRC Resource Collection Coordinator, developing and implementing processes and procedures for the cataloging of special collections acquisitions. Johnson holds a Master’s degree in Disaster Science and Management from this program. Prior to beginning academic studies at the University of Delaware, she worked with Habitat for Humanity and with a government contractor focused on environmental assessment and monitoring. Johnson currently works for the Delaware Department of Safety and Homeland Security as the grants and program coordinator for Citizen Corps and CERT, delivering emergency preparedness courses and grants to citizens and citizen groups throughout the State of Delaware.
