Joanna Black is the Managing Archivist at the GLBT Historical Society in San Francisco, where she previously served as the Project Archivist. While receiving a B.A. in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University, Joanna's internship with SFSU's Poetry Center and American Poetry Archives inspired her to pursue a master's degree in Library and Information Science with a specialization in archival studies from UCLA in 2010. Prior to the GLBT Historical Society, Joanna served as the Manuscripts Processing Assistant at the Bancroft Library, UC Berkeley as well as Processing Projects Assistant for the UCLA Library Department of Special Collections.
