Doctoral Student
Chapel Hill
Colin Post is a doctoral student in the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, where he is also pursuing a Masters degree in Art History. His research focuses on artists' personal archiving, and in particular how artists approach the preservation of digital archival materials and digital artworks. From 2014-2016, Colin served as a graduate student fellow for the Artists' Studio Archives project, an IMLS-funded program that developed practical strategies to help artists build and sustain their own personal archives. The project team organized two personal archiving workshops for North Carolina artists, as well as a symposium that brought together a variety of artists and information professionals to discuss future prospects for collecting and preserving artists' archives.
