Allen Tullos

A graduate of programs in English, Folklore, and American Studies at the University of Alabama, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Yale University, Allen Tullos is currently a professor in the History Department at Emory University, and serves as co-director of the Emory Center for Digital Scholarship. His research interests include critical spatial and regional studies with an emphasis on the US South; digital humanities; American musical cultures; and documentary production. He is co-founder and senior editor of the interdisciplinary online journal Southern Spaces. His latest book is Alabama Getaway: The Political Imaginary and the Heart of Dixie, published by University of Georgia Press. He has been awarded numerous honors, fellowships, and grants for his work.
