Paul Leatherdale

Paul received his M.A. (Archival Studies) from the University of Windsor. Since 1999, he has served as the Archivist for the Law Society of Ontario, the body that governs lawyers and paralegals in the province of Ontario. Paul is responsible for the management of the archives, including: collection development and donor relations, policies and procedures, arrangement and description, preservation, digitization initiatives, reference service, web content, social media, database administration, and the supervision of staff. He is also involved in the planning and implementation of records and information management projects.

For the past 20+ years, Paul has volunteered as an archivist with The ArQuives (formerly the Canadian Lesbian & Gay Archives), and sat on its Board of Directors from 2016 to 2020. He has also served on the boards of the Toronto Area Archivists Group and the Archives Association of Ontario.
