Jay-Marie Bravent (formerly Jaime Marie Burton) currently serves as Director of Research Services & Education at the University of Kentucky Special Collections Research Center. She previously served as Education & Outreach Archivist at UK, College Archivist and Assistant Professor at Berea College, and Assistant Special Collections Librarian at the Maryland Historical Society. She is a Certified Archivist and holds a Master of Arts in Historical Studies from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a concentration in Public History/Policy Administration, completing a thesis focused on the history of Daniels, MD and flooding in the Patapsco Valley. Her research interests include environmental history. Jay-Marie's current work includes implementing the Metrics and Measures for Public Services and the Teaching with Primary Sources Guidelines.
