Archivists often must work with lawyers, both institutional legal counsel and external legal professionals, yet these relationships can be characterized by conflicting priorities and differing responsibilities within institutions. The panelists discuss the pitfalls of working with legal counsel and explore how archivists can build strong relationships with lawyers. They provide examples from their own professional experiences and invite Q&A participation from the audience.
