Kristin Morgan

Emory University Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library
Project Archivist
Atlanta, GA
I am also a graduate student in San Jose State's online MLIS program.

My work at the Rose Library is project-based: I process a collection and then create deliverables from that experience. My first project was the Sidney L. Matthew Bobby Jones collection and research files, which resulted in co-authoring several articles and co-curating "Bobby Jones: The Game of Life," an exhibition with an in-house version and a traveling version that was on display at the Open Golf Championship in Scotland in 2015. My second project was the Community Council of the Atlanta Area records; I wrote a blog post about the collection and co-curated an in-house exhibition with three other Atlanta area collections, which lead to two panel presentations (one in-house and a second at the Atlanta Studies Symposium). My poster at SAA this year reflects on the experiences of this second project, especially my collaboration with graduate student assistants in the Rose Library.

I am particularly interested in project management, documentation, exhibitions, audience/user engagement, and changes in the archival profession.
