Worked with St. George's University as Technical Services Librarian for 14 years. In 2012, I was transferred to head the Archives and Records Management Department. Since that time too, I have been advocating for the reopening of the Sheila Buckmire Memorial Public Library and Archives in St. George's, Grenada's capital, which was closed in July 2011. Despite appeals to the authority, the situation remains the same. This is a burning issue and whatever suggestions/assistance that can be offered would be appreciated.
