Blake Relle received his Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from LSU’s School of Library and Information Science. Currently, he serves as an Archives Specialist A at the Louisiana State Archives where he fulfills request for materials made by the public as well as state agencies. From 2013 to 2015, he served as a digitization intern at the National World War II Museum in New Orleans, Louisiana.
In March of 2015, Relle gave a presentation at the joint meeting of MARAC/NEA regarding “How to get new archivist involved in archival organizations?” He is a member of NEA’s task force that is looking into different platforms that would allow the organization to offer workshops and conferences to members. At the Spring 2016 meeting of MARAC, Relle participated in a debate on whether archival professionals should continue to do professional development.
He has researched his family history and has traveled to Italy to meet his relatives.
