Eric C. Stoykovich, the Historical Manuscripts Project Archivist at the University of Maryland, works to make more accessible political and civic collections important to Maryland’s history. For the previous five years, he digitized archives and special collections in Washington, DC, mainly for the National Archives and the Library of Congress. He earned a PhD in American history at the University of Virginia in 2009 and completed a Masters of Library Science concentrating on archives at the University of Maryland in 2013. He currently serves as Chair elect of SAA’s Archival History Roundtable, for which he has promoted the creation of archival history bibliographies and helped disseminate ‘This-Day-in-Archival-History’ Tweets (@archivalhistory). He authored "Public Records in War: Towards an Archival History of the American Civil War," published in the American Archivist 80:1 (Spring/Summer 2017).
